I recently quit, maybe. I switched to hop water and hop tea which has completely replaced beer for me.
I'm not opposed to a drink in the right situation, but it has been months now and I feel like all I've lost is hangovers.
Dry 5+ years now. I definitely feel healthier although the weight hasnโt really gone down. Iโm gonna work on that when I leave the city and move to the Homestead permanently.
You gotta fight your demons one demon at a time
I always find that change is easiest when you understand you can't just force a thing away. You have to fully be a different person who lives the life you want.
Want to quit drinking? Build a new life that doesn't revolve around drinking.
Want to be fitter? Become a person who takes better care of their health.
I'm going to do the exact same things with the exact same people but not drink and skip the cake will fail every time.
