Maybe ignorance is compatible with happy life. Who tf cares about knowing when you know you won't know it all and even if you try to, your life span is small enough to not be able to figure what all is to know. Matrix is designed in that way.

Knowledge is anti nature, it can improve some aspects (at a price) but it encourages to leave life for knowing how an unnecessary unnatural thing works. Ignorance can be filled with instinct which is way smarter than all possible knowledge, your gut knows, how its feeling rn reading this?
