I'd say no, because reposting something is posting something again (something that was posted before, either by yourself or by others).

I could’ve sworn “boost” = “broadcast” 
Amethyst uses "Boost" for reposts (not sure if any other client uses that)
But since there's also the sats-sharing boost now, it can be a bit confusing.
that button usually means repost or quote. much confuse.
