This board is made from three trees. A walnut from my hometown, a maple that I used to sneak out under, and a cherry from a best friend's home. I grew up in the shadow of these trees and so many more. As I lived, as I learned, as I lost. I never would have thought I would be intimately involved with their future. That I would one day dissect and repurpose them.
I don't know the story of every tree that passes through my hands, but I know the story of these three.
