Today I saved my intel b580 of getting burned. I had been playing cyberpunk 2077 for a few days with headphones and noticed that some fan was spinning like crazy and I thought the game was pushing my system to the limit. But then I wanted to find put which one, so I launched hwinfo to find out. Apparently it was the cpu one but the weird thing is that the gpu one was reading 0 rpm. First I thought it was that the program was no detecting it because was outdated. Installed the latest version and same thing. Finally I opened the case and saw the problem right away, the pcie power cable had some how moved and was blocking the gpu fans from turning... Shit. After moving the cable it is working normally but it has been running a week at 100 C. No warnings. CPUs normally turned themselves off in such cases but here nothing. I hope no long term damage was made.
