So US AWS east 1 is down. Go to Amazon homepage and I can't search for what I really want but the ads and recommendations load fine.
They prioritized the ads over the core function.

Yeah, but we all know that every time there is a major outage it is them or a BGP rule at cloudflare. So why put the store on the data center most famous for being unreliable?
The most beginner security training is the CIA triad, if 1 data center takes you down you failed security.
