That's not a serious piece. It's long, but I can't take it seriously
After a "round", an Ark user has an on-chain balance that they can unilaterally spend at any time, and which nobody can steal from them
But that pleb slop doesn't educate the reader about anything interesting like that

As already do LN. Ark will always depend of LN and will be just a not necessary step for clueless nocoiners.
Right now you can do it easily with 0-conf channeks onboarding new users in an instant.
What do you mean by 0-conf channels?
You mean a totally standard Lightning channel, but where you consider the channel "open" even before the funding transaction is confirmed?
So a total beginner, who has never held any bitcoin before, can receive their first 10-sat payment and build a channel from it immediately?
The fees for the funding transaction could be greater than 10 sats
Who will provide inbound liquidity for the 0-conf channels?
For tiny amounts, I don't think there is any alternative to Cashu and Ark
To get a balance that is safe and secure, after your first few small payments, I think an Ark round is the only cheap option
Non-custodial Lightning only makes sense when your balance is a bit bigger
That's why I hope to see wallets mix all of these systems, allowing users to gradually transition through all of them
