At @Bitcoin FilmFest a panel took place where the participants discussed the role AI will play in the future of art. One of them mentioned that it might enable aspiring artists who don't possess the necessary skills to express the art that they have inside them. Inspired by that, I thought that I should share what I did a while ago with digital painting and Nano Banana. I started drawing an image that had come to my mind, but quickly realized that I won't have the time or energy to build up adequate artistic skills required to finish the piece. So I fed a half-baked sketch into Gemini, gave it some color samples and here's what happened. I'm also sharing the initial sketch, so that you might get the feeling of the tool's capabilities.
