Imagine if CashApp or other digital payment processors offered an API where you could query it for a sat or two over LN to check if a given CashApp tx id had cleared. If such an API existed it would give us the USD rails needed to build a bitcoin unlock system that relies on the CashApp API to unlock funds. It would give users on nostr a way to use such a tool to trade fiat for btc where the weakest link in the trust chain is the payment processor API which is the best you're gonna get with fiat. Or Liquid tether. Sorry for the mini rant, just thinking out loud.
