Fold really needs this convert-at-last-second feature on their debit card.... So annoying having to sell in advance and then hope the tx settles before its my turn to pay

Exactly. If it's not selling on the spot instantly, then it's simply a glorified fiat card that lets you sell Bitcoin into it.

It does, but not natively yet. There's a free workaround using Curve app that creates proxy details that you can add onto Apple Pay. Whenever you pay with Apple Pay, payment gets forwarded to your wavecard at no cost instantly. If neededd, I can share a quick guide on how to set it up.
