Yeah they are like monsters ๐ I grew up around cattle & horses at our place, but bison were the next notch on the scale.
I felt the same when I lived in the Cypress Hills about moose. I wasn't worried about mountain lions or coyotes, but I'd go the long way if a moose was in a back alley.

I still get a little uncomfortable over coyotes, probably irrationally. There's huge packs running around the area where I walk daily. I'm sort of a tiny person so hypothetical scenerios run through my mind when I'm out walking and I hear them yipping and howling like maniacs. ๐
Understandable. I'm always cautious with Mosha near the edge of the river coulees, coyotes will hang around in them. I think I'm big enough to look like a bad choice for a snack, but Mosha is pretty slow & defenseless ๐
