I want you to see this video. These are the conditions at the central hospital in my city. It's supposed to be a free hospital, but it's anything but. Because there are no supplies, patients have to buy absolutely everything, from admission forms to gauze, needles, medicine, and anything else you can imagine. There are thousands of stories of people who have surgery there and get bacterial infections, ending up worse off. I know many people don't understand Spanish, so here's what's said in the video: 0:04 - 0:12] "Given the high number of reports and complaints from users of the Central Hospital of San Cristóbal, we entered the main healthcare facility to verify the condition of its areas." [0:13 - 0:25] "Patients have to be carried in the arms of their relatives because out of the four elevators, only one is operational, which collapses due to the large number of sick people, doctors, healthcare staff, and relatives." [0:26 - 0:41] "We toured the ten floors of the Central Hospital of San Cristóbal, being able to confirm one of the main complaints: on all floors, the restrooms are out of service. We only found two open bathrooms, which are unusable and in deplorable conditions." [0:42 - 0:49] "Similarly, the west wing of floors 5, 7, 9, and 10 has remained closed for some time." [0:50 - 0:56] "The pediatric emergency room is also closed. Patients have been waiting for over a year for its reopening." [0:57 - 1:16] "Children still do not have their own space, a situation that has caused great discomfort. Inoperative wiring, ceilings, and stretchers; insufficient medications and supplies; abandoned areas that highlight the need for investment and maintenance to guarantee one of the most precious rights: health." [1:17 - 1:26] "Added to all this is the failure of public services, the lack of hygiene products, and the scarcity of food to meet the patients' daily diet."
