Yes or even if you just sit at a desk there and study
I went to a university yesterday, to use the guest Wi-Fi they demanded to verify a phone number. Total madness.
Resist
They condition us to hand out personal information for every little thing, then scold us when that information gets into the wrong hands, leaked and abused.
It's like with everything in life, you don't want this discussion with them but at the end you will not be able to avoid it because the rules will become stricter until you have no choice
