Having seen several of those, 25 years ago, as a student, your statement is truer than you might realize.
Those modern numbers seem low, though.

I don't even think art patronage is what we need today. OG bitcoiners could give fractions of these dollar amounts to a wool or leather clothing craftsman and the world would be a better place
