Square enabling bitcoin payments was inevitable.
Will people spend the corn and will vendors turn on the ability to receive payments? Thats up to the boots on the ground.

Im assuming there was a good reason why it was not and hope that that is the future we are heading to anyways.

I think vendors need to opt-in and should not be forced into bitcoin.
They could accept sats and automatically get them converted to dirty fiat, but they'll regret it when Bitcoin becomes 10x more valuable.
I don't think there's any other way.
Vendors will turn it on when enough customers demand and acutally use it.
