There is nothing wrong with programming your own Bitcoin (eg. time locks).
CBDCs are programmable by someone else.

Time locks have been around since 2015 via BIP 65 using very basic transaction lvl timelocks.

Adding more levels of programability is what I’m referring to and concerned about.
