What happened and how did you recover from it?

Sorry for the delay - life got in the way.
So I had to nuke my node because some weird drive mounting issue. I experienced boot-up issues for months, so I thought it was best to start fresh.
Thankfully I had a backup from July (whole node Start9-Backup), so I restored all apps and settings. Channels closes automatically and almost all funds from the force closes reappeared.
Onchain though was not there. Had to sweep it via AEZEED Import in Bluewallet - no problem.
But then I realized that the funds from a channel that my friend opened towards me where unavailable. On chain but not visible in LND.
After some initial panic I started researching solutions and realized I had to manually sweep this "locked" address.
This is where chantools proved to be invaluable. Entered a CLI command with some trial and error and published a TX to sweep the address to one I control.
Boom - everything resyored - lessons learned π
Thanks for the explanation! Iβm especially interested in how you used chantools. Iβm working with a friend to help him recover some funds from a force closed channel and it looks like we will need to go that route.
You can try ./chantools sweepremoteclosed and read through the command line description that pops up.
This was the command that saved me a 1000β¬ βΊ
