Pubky is basically a decentralized social network built around public-key identity and user-controlled data.
It takes a different approach than Nostr, using Homeservers and BitTorrentβs DHT instead of relays.
I actually think the underlying idea is interesting. I just think the social app is quite flawed in its execution.
Not to mention John Carvalho basically used his account here to trash Nostr and try to drum up converts.
After all that, it still feels like there are maybe 50 people over there.
It's a dead zone.
