I've never installed a custom rom or alternative OS on a chinese Android TV Box, but the official ROM is dead and throwing random force stop notices which makes the device unusable. I'm trying to fix it in an easy way, the person who is going to use this device needs YouTube, Jellyfin and VPN. So I think I still need an Android based option and Kodi (for example CoreElec is not an option (let me know if I'm wrong). The processor is Amlogic S905X2. Any suggestions?

Well, thanks to Aidan's ROM, the device is live again and working (almost) as expected. It's so great that we can repair and reuse such devices instead of throwing them into the trash. I wish I could bring my Samsung Gear VR back to life, which depends on Oculus's discontinued services. Meta has decided to stop supporting Oculus software, and to use the device, I'm forced to log in to a dead service.
