That would be an extended play (EP) I think it goes back to lengths on vinyl. EP's could store 7.5 minutes ish on each side and LP's could store 20 or so minutes on each side. In the digital age a lot of the terminology stuck for the general listening time so albums released under 30 minutes are considered EP's and above that are considered LP's or just full length albums
