In the middle of a storm last night I discovered that we didn't have any water in the house. Switched to the well pump bang it ran dry and needed priming, strange. Anyway I cleaned out the cartridge filter and water started to flow from the water tank that's filled by the mains supply. Yippee. But not a lot of pressure so I turned off the supply to all the taps in the garden and there you go, fixed. It was pitch black and flooded from the rain so not wanting to step on a snake or something I decided to call it a night. In the cold light of day I found the cause of the trouble a papaya tree had falling and snapped a pipe in half and smashed a tap off the wall plus the night before I found a leak and one of the valves wasn't closing completly shut.
