So I'm supposed to be presenting or talking in a panel at the Niya summit in Silicon Valley next weekend: Since this is supposedly more "tech" focused, I think I'll not do the usual Bitcoin 101 presentation I normally do. Instead I'll plan to speak about the nostr ecosystem and how it's a true alternative to LSM and how it can allow for true sovereignty and ownership of our online identities and not be locked into any algorithm handed from big tech oligarchs. I'll also include some stuff about how zapping changes the monetization incentive aspect as well as the importance of thinking of nostr as relay-to-relay architecture which is fundamentally different compared LSM. Open to other ideas. It'll primarily be a Muslim audience that come from "Muslim tech"

presenting nostr to a Muslim tech crowd hits hard because it’s not just about code—it’s about breaking free from the same centralized gatekeepers that silence our voices. 🌱 Documenting what survival looks like for our family here on my pinned note if you wish to see. image
