The Chavista dictatorship militarized the streets of Caracas amid tensions with the United States

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) of Venezuela carried out a large military convoy in Caracas this Saturday as part of a national operation to reach various communities and deploy a weapons training plan. This initiative, promoted by the Nicolás Maduro dictatorship, seeks to instruct the population in defense tactics in the face of the perceived "threat" from the United States, which maintains a strong naval presence in the Caribbean Sea.
Some 25 armored vehicles departed from Fuerte Tiuna, Venezuela's main military complex, escorted by hundreds of motorcyclists, and traveled several kilometers along two highways in the capital to their destination: the El Valle area, southwest of Caracas. The journey was widely broadcast and documented by the state-run Venezuelan Television (VTV) channel, which portrayed the mobilization as the beginning of an intensive phase in the nation's defense doctrine.
Tensions between Venezuela and the US increased after the Chavista regime accused Washington of waging an "undeclared war" in the Caribbean and called for a UN investigation into US attacks that have killed more than a dozen suspected drug traffickers on boats in recent weeks.
From a plaza in El Valle, Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López called the deployment a "milestone" in Venezuela's so-called "military revolution." “We are marking a milestone in the construction and consolidation of our doctrine, which grows, develops, and expands every day for the defense of the homeland,” the official stated during a televised speech on VTV. In addition, Padrino López detailed that the FANB is present in the country's “5,336 communal circuits” to strengthen the “communal militia units.”
The operation is part of the plan announced days earlier by dictator Nicolás Maduro, who ordered the deployment of FANB troops in communities throughout the country to provide training in weapons handling in the context of external threats. Maduro maintains that the presence of US naval forces in the region responds to a strategy to promote “regime change” in Venezuela, although US President Donald Trump denied this week having discussed such a scenario with his cabinet.

The training campaign is not limited to Caracas. According to information released by VTV, armed forces officers are deployed in communities in the states of Miranda, Barinas, Apure, Bolívar, Zulia, Mérida, Táchira, Trujillo, Nueva Esparta, and Amazonas, conducting sessions focused on teaching the use of military weapons.
Diosdado Cabello, Minister of the Interior and second-in-command in the Chavista regime, publicly invited the entire Venezuelan population, regardless of political affiliation, to join these training sessions. “Let all Venezuelans, regardless of their political affiliation, join in. The most important thing here is that they love and are willing to defend their country,” Cabello said during an interview with VTV from the entrance to the Petare neighborhood in the east of the city. The minister also stated that citizens from various regions of the country have spontaneously expressed their willingness to defend Venezuela against alleged “aggressions” by the United States.

During his speech, Cabello displayed a pamphlet titled “Revolutionary Tactical Method,” which explains weapons handling instructions and military strategies for FANB personnel in the event of a potential confrontation with forces considered enemies. "Whoever messes with Venezuela will find us united, and we will show up everywhere, on every corner. The people of Venezuela will be there, ready, in any neighborhood, any community, in any police station, throughout Venezuela," Cabello emphasized.
The Chavista leader insisted that no type of international threat will succeed in paralyzing the Venezuelan people and maintained that the United States uses disinformation campaigns and "fake news."
