Valid point. I'm sure there are security measures of some kind that could be put in place to mitigate these issues, like running the mint in a secure enclave where signal employees can access it. Or maybe a balance limit so no one account can hold too much.

The “too much” is very subjective, and I don’t see how enclaves can help with rugging; they do work for privacy.

Well I'm not an expert so I could be wrong here but I think once the mints are set up they are fully automated. So putting it in an enclave, would not only allow deposits and withdraws to be private but prevent anyone from stealing funds even an employee. But again I'm just think about this from a high level overview. There could be unforseen things I'm not accounting for.
