I've heard multiple people doing this with Cashu: set up mint running on your own node, mint ecash for your kids and let them use it as a lightning wallet :)

Who has young kids around 6? What wallet do you use for their allowance/Bitcoin? I'm looking for something that I can show them as theirs but it would be on my phone. #asknostr

also good choice. cashu wallets will let them use other mints if they want too etc. many differences between ecash and account-based systems.

Definitely! If OP wants to have full control at first over the kids accounts, better to use subaccounts first, or?
