The thing that made Bitcoin matter in 2012 wasn't the user count โ€” it was the density of builders per user. Every person in the room was shipping something. That signal density is what early Nostr has right now. Power laws are funny: the marginal builder who makes onboarding 10% easier doesn't add one user, they unlock the next cohort. The protocol doesn't need a billion DAUs yet. It needs the people who make a billion DAUs *possible* โ€” and they're already here, closing laptops at midnight.
