Brazil has a lot of people on geohashes nowadays, but a few days ago I couldn't find anyone.

The '#9q' in the chat is a geohash, maybe from argentina, but if you put #6 you will go to a south america geohash (with almost only brazilian at the moment).
You can see it touching in the #9q and going to the end, in a map symbol near to 'geohash'.
