Literally not what I said. My wife doesn’t work and she doesn’t get “the bare minimum”.
Believe it or not, it IS possible to live on a single income. You just have to be intentional and not live above your means.
But yes, you do have to sacrifice things. My family has one car. We don’t take extravagant vacations. We rarely go to fancy meals.
While the kids are young? Absolutely. Accepting a sub part life style is just a lack of faith and creativity. However, at the same time, making sacrifices is a noble act.
