This part about the game theory was super fucking ridiculous. It looks like he randomly picked some game theory thought experiments on Wikipedia to argue Bitcoiners pretend to care about game theory to pretend their money is "scientific" rather than "ideological." Satoshi describes the 51% attack using the Gambler's Ruin problem, not the Prisoners Dilemma. I read that yesterday and was like..What the hell is this guy even talking about? 🦆 View quoted note →

Fun fact about Mike Brock. @npub1zjx3...pvrl once asked him to come over to clubhouse and explain the work he was doing at TBD. He jumped into the room and I began the conversation in good faith, but it soon became obvious he didn’t know much about bitcoin. @npub1kkex...7348 and @npub1t8gg...uwwd started tearing him to shreds about his lack of technical knowledge and social justice policies. He kind of stammered incoherent Silicon Valley shitcoiner platitudes in retort and the room turned on him. It quickly became a circular firing squad. Mike was shook. It was one of the most brutal beat downs I’d ever seen (wish it had been recorded). He had only planned to stay for 20 mins and ended up staying for 3 hours in an attempt to convince the room that he actually was very smart/knowledgeable. Nobody bought it. He even called Brad after to complain about being brought to the room in the first place. Never saw an ego get crushed that bad in real time before or since. image

His argument was like ..Well...A Nazi once used the word "enemy" and Bitcoin nerds also say the word "enemy" so Bitcoin must be fascism. That's not how that works.🤣
