I’m always happy to talk existentialism! I’ve been going through life observing parallels to a lot of parables and allegories… like the allegory of the cave and the story of Sisyphus. Finding ways to relate it to real, current life is very intriguing! Any particular topic you’d like to explore?
Off the top of my head, I find it interesting how our (or at least my) view on certain concepts is so hyperdynamic. "God" is a prime example, I think my view, opinion, and definition of this word is different every week.
I also like the message in the story of Sisyphus, it is similar to Camus' work, with his views on absurdism.
Reading anything related right now?
I just started Sartre's "Being and Nothingness" last week. I really like his work.
Maybe at some point we could start reading the same book and discuss chapters?
That said, I refrain from viewing anything I discover or learn from philosophy as a capital T Truth.
I merely find what resonates with me and call it "plausible" or "a beautiful, interesting way of looking at things". Knowledge is never complete.
