How about this: Doing everything necessary to find a mutually acceptable solution at the negotiating table? Reconciliations are possible, even between arch-enemies. There are examples. The will to do so must be there.

I think my whole view here is we have done that to death now. Consistent cycles of cease fire, talks, agreements, then back to business as usual.

We need to start looking through the eyes of 'them' for a start.
Projecting our desires on them won't achieve anything.
Both sides are not as bad as each other. Israel is way worse, they're the ones with the terrorists, the ones doing ethnic cleansing, and bombing their neighbors.
