I was a buy to let investor in a previous life and jointly owned everything with my closest friend from school.
A new purchase was being finalised by our usual solicitors, but a different rep that we'd not met before. He couldn't understand why we'd owned everything as joint tenants (if one of us dies, the other gets the whole property) and not as tenants in common (you own a specific share and it goes through your will if you die).
We just trusted each other to do the right thing by our families, but his exact words were "this is making me feel nauseous".
We were just like, "chill mate, I trust him with my life, why wouldn't I trust him with a house?"

The nausea comes from experience.
