Many crusades were fought in the name of the holy. Of course it is about land and ressources — Whether it is to fight against occupied land, protect what was already acquired or expand.

It’s not of course. An occurrence of something does not prove a negative. The Quran teaches it is the responsibility of the Muslim to exact justice on the infidel.
