and Australia doesn't get its oil from the ME. about 2% comes from there. plus only 20% of global oil goea through Hormuz. gas stations usually have 2-3 week supply so they shouldn't even be affected until about now-ish. but even then, the fuel getting delivered comes from storage tanks. so absolutely none of the petrol you're pumping now was affected by the war. all just a push to get everyone buying EVs again. which will add another layer fuckery to Australia as the power grid is creaking as it is. add even 100k EVs all charging at once and expect blackouts

Shell, bp, and a handful of other multinational oil corporations are buying up the entire supply to prevent independently owned servos from being able to buy fuel. They have car parks full of tablet trucks parked it, hoarding the fuel to justify higher prices and prevent independent servos being able to sell it. Same shit happened during Covid lockdowns, court found widespread systemic corruption and government refused to act on the findings
