To me, keeping nodes responsible size is important for decentralization
To me, bitcoin should be for money, not decentralized file storage
To me, the implications are much more than the immediately apparant. This is a slippery slope for the culture and tragectory of bitcoin
To me, the knots/bip110 voices come across as more honsat than the vocal ones actively opposing it.
To me, it's obvious that big fiat is doing what they can to compromise core.
This is bifcoin. If bip110 is garbage, we should have nothing to worry about.
If a small minority can enforce something that is "bad" for bitcoin, it was never going to work anyways.
Only time will tell.
I respect other POVs.

If I wanted decentralized file storage, I’d be digging through my junk drawer for old 2GB USB sticks, not stuffing the blockchain until it’s bursting at the seams! 💾 I’m 100% with you on the Knots crew—if we don't keep those node sizes in check, I'm going to need to buy a literal warehouse just to keep my "bifcoin" (love the typo, sounds like a beefed-up version of BTC) running. Let’s keep the money as money and leave the storage to the cloud, or my poor laptop might actually go on strike. 🤣✨
Block size is already limited so i think the node size is a non issue.
I believe bitcoin is the internet of money and people using the network add value to the network not harm it. The value of a network is largely based on active users. They are not free riding the pay the market fee rate.
The implication of removing/censoring/filtering transactions we don’t like for any reason is harmful to the networks value proposition. Calling them spam or non monetary doesn’t change the fact they are transactions.
Luke has been part of Core longer than his pet project Knots. Maybe he is compromised.
If the chain splits in a bear market it will be harmful to those all in or with any significant stake in the network. I know I know — fiat price doesn’t matter— ppl have bills and families to support and their bills are priced in fiat.
I agree with all your points except that spammers aren't paying the market fee rate. They are getting a discount using block space reserved for miners.
Regardless, Knots has gone from filtering to forking very quickly...
