The point is that he at some point changed his stance and trusted the secure element that was misused. It's understandable but the full context is that OP asked for proof that people passed off "don't roll dice" as expert advice. That's undisputed. Don't cry to me for simply showing the receipts. I'm less unforgiving about this particular mistake and more so the fact that Odell and NVK sat on the board of OpenSats while NVK brazenly bullied and denied funding to competitors and blocked/ridiculed security auditors to block them from finding bugs exactly like this. Odell rode high from the status he got from being affiliated with NVK. Now Odell's gotta take the hit that comes with blindly trusting him. Feel how you want to feel. Those guys have been corrupt for a long time and this reckoning was a long time coming. I sincerely hope they and the space learn from this and learns how to properly vet products, cryptography and most importantly the social layer.
