One good reason for updating Amethyst to 1.0 is the media player no longer stays pinned while the app is in the background. This would substantially drain the battery. #amethyst

The player should pause when the app goes to the background unless you activate the picture in picture button. Are you seeing it keep playing?
In Amethyst <1.0 media would continually loop in the background. In Android's notification/settings drawer the media player would be pinned, endlessly looping. This occurred for me on several devices running stock Android, Graphene, and Lineage.
But it's fixed now. 💜
Oh I'm glad to hear this was fixed. I have a (kinda)smartwatch that can ding based on certain app notifications, and this feature is basically unusable for Amethyst because of this issue where the "media drawer" keeps getting pinned while the app is in the background.
