"What if Ark, Spark, and Lightning started around the same time?" ( @Justin (shocknet) explains!)

I don't see Ark and Spark as competition with LN, they both need LN interop. They both come with tradeoffs and more centralized for sure. Agree that shitcoiners are now coming to bitcoin with their scams and people should pay close attention.
It's interesting. I'm hopefull for ark as another tool in the toolset, but being principled like Justin on original goals is important, or else we compromise ourselves into just using rent seeking trusted third parties.
Yea they had to pivot away from the competing with Lightning messaging, since Lightning is the only real L2 they have to fall back to it. Now they just affinity scam as powering Lightning wallets.
They're closed networks and Lightning is an open network which gives an Lightning insurmountable advantage. One of their latest pivots seems to be payments between DeFi degens on shitcoin platforms

lol, feels that way often, but that's the purpose of astroturf... to demoralize and manufacture consensus
scammers spare no expense to appear strong when they are weak
Are all your memes on a repo or something somewhere. I want a "Wall of Darth" at some conference or event.
I still try to re-organize them... but here are some "collections"

Lightning is bitcoin, Liquid is the closest shitcoin there is to bitcoin. Liquid is useful as a bitcoin-denominated protyping layer mainly because of the hybrid federated custody model. CashU and Fedi ecash protocols are really variants on custodial lightning wallets, only the centralized aspect of it does not have accounts. CashU is more like WoS, where Fedi is more like Phoenix. Eventually we will have a noncustodial ecash token that is directly redeemable for bitcoin on L1, but for now, there are tradeoffs.
> hybrid federated custody
That's a hoax, it's Shroedinger's node, key distribution can't be verified and there's still centralized infrastructure
> Eventually we will have a noncustodial ecash token that is directly redeemable for bitcoin on L1
lol no... thats not how any of this works... anyone claiming that can be done is selling a perpetual motion machine, the physics of the chain are immutable.
Lightning as the only real L2 is how it is because it recognizes this, its just re-usable on chain transactions.

So are you favorable to Spark?
