Yes, but the governments want companies to collect all that juicy data. So this will never happen.
If focus on security instead asking daddy state protection maybe no one steals your data
In Brazil at least, a lot of the data collected is for compliance. Governments hate privacy.
Because that is the average profit margin for companies. It doesn't kill them, but it really hurts their shareholders.
