Now (Sept 24, 2025): A new, larger convoy—the Global Sumud Flotilla that includes Thunberg—reported drone attacks near the Greek island of Gavdos/Crete. Boats were damaged but no injuries were reported.
Italy (and, per some reports, Spain) sent naval ships to assist their nationals; Italy’s frigate Fasan is on scene. The flotilla says it’s continuing; Israel says it won’t let the boats reach Gaza.
