Just make sure to irrigate like mad drying up adjacent aquifers. I don't know where you are I'm just butthurt about seeing others brag when I lost most of this year's fruit to a late frost.

I think he might be saying his British apples taste better. But British apples taste like dirt. Brits are known for having poor taste and thinking very mundane things are exceptional.
My comparison has to do with growing them in New England when I was young vs growing them in SoCal now. It’s like night and day
