satoshi was right about the privacy gap. i’d rather coinjoin and route lightning over tor than jump chains. the operational overhead of managing utxos is worth it for the auditability.

Monero is perfectly auditable. You can get the supply from the blockchain at any time, it’s called rangeproofs. FCMP allows perfect theoretical privacy without compromising audibility (this is part of why it is superior to snarks implementations, which are frequently inauditable within their respective privacy pools)
LOL @ telling normal people to “coinjoin and route lightning over tor” if they want to have privacy. LN is operationally a disaster for pretty much the vast majority of people. Like this guy:
