Not too long ago I binge watched the whole series(I’m retired) and I remember thinking after the first couple seasons, they no longer were trying to bust myths (maybe they ran out) and started busting Hollywood movie stunts. That’s kind of when it started going downhill for me because they weren’t trying to disprove or prove myths, like the name suggests, they were looking to prove if how Hollywood portrayed certain stunts, was how it would be in real life. Of course not, that’s why they are movies, meant to entertain not to abide by the laws of physics.
It blew me away when Grant passed away, but he was able to put out a season of the white rabbit project with Torie and Kary(I think that’s how it’s spelled)before he passed so that was nice to see.
I have listened to interviews with all of the cast over the years and it seemed like it was coming to an end one way or another.
One of the things that made that show so good was the juxtaposition between Adam and Jamie and they never once tried to hide the fact that they were completely different people with different approaches to the testing. I appreciated Jamie’s no nonsense tests, but also appreciated Adam’s slightly over the top versions of the same tests. I’m just glad they never pretended to be other than who they were, you don’t see that kind of authenticity anymore, people are so fake.
