The Progressive Bitcoiner, Inc. a 501(c)(3) education nonprofit, launches $50,000 Fundraising Campaign to Champion Bitcoin Education and Advocacy for Progressives

BOSTON, MA — The Progressive Bitcoiner, Inc. the only nonprofit organization solely dedicated to Bitcoin education focusing on progressives, has launched a $50,000 fundraising campaign to expand its mission of promoting Bitcoin literacy, advocacy, and understanding among progressives across the United States.

As a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit—not a lobbying group, political action committee, or for-profit industry entity—The Progressive Bitcoiner holds a unique and trusted position in bridging the gap between Bitcoin and progressive values. At a time of increasing political polarization, our work ensures that Bitcoin doesn’t become a partisan issue and that progressives have access to accurate, values-aligned information about Bitcoin’s potential for economic empowerment, financial inclusion, human rights, privacy, secure, consumer focused savings and medium of exchange technology and environmental/energy innovation.

"With rising interest from conservative figures like Donald Trump, there is a growing risk of a partisan backlash from the left that could undermine Bitcoin’s promise and use in the United States and around the world," says Trey Walsh, Executive Director of The Progressive Bitcoiner. "We exist to push back against the narrative that Bitcoin is partisan or only appeals to one segment of the population, and ensure Bitcoin is understood on its own terms—not as an exclusive extension of any party or political ideology as some may associate it today with the right."

The funds raised will support:

• Public education campaigns and resources for everyday people, including media, educational resources, workshops, and more

• Strategic outreach and education resources to progressive lawmakers and media

• Clear messaging to distinguish Bitcoin from other cryptocurrencies

• Advocacy to protect Bitcoin users’ rights and freedoms globally
