My kids really got into Rick Riordan’s universe — they started with Percy Jackson and the Olympians (5 books), then moved on to The Heroes of Olympus (5 books), followed by The Trials of Apollo (5 books), and finally Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard (3 books). Magnus Chase is based in the Norse pantheon, but it connects back to the main world — you’ll even see characters like Annabeth and Percy pop up. The stories build on each other, so it’s best to read each series in order before moving on to the next.
