Core and Knots should work together.
Bitcoiners and Gold Bugs should work together.

Agree totally
Core should stop trying to change the code for "today's use cases." Core devs should study economics and understand the problem Bitcoin solves. Now what would core folks like from me?
There is a hierarchy, did you notice I didn't say Altcoiners and Bitcoiners should work together?
Gold > Bitcoin > Altcoins > Fiat
Fiat doesn't think anything is superior, Altcoiners don't think Bitcoin is superior and we don't think Gold is superior 😂
I always like to think of crypto as follows
Decentralised and centralised
Bitcoin is decentralised and hence a commodity
All altcoins are all centralised garbage and hence a security.
Stablecoins I would put in a different category as they are effectively digital fiats.
Some of us are Bitcoiners and Gold Bugs. 🧐
Some of us are considering our life choices 😂
I agree with you totally, as would most Bitcoiners.
But few outside the Bitcoin world would.
You need to DYOR on Luke... He has contributed a lot to core, but has also been such a nutcase in many situations that most core developers no longer want to interact with him.
And why work together with someone who wants to introduce a centralising hard fork?
I am sure that if/when he contributes useful non-contentious stuff that it will be included eventually, just like contributions from any of us.
You need to DYOR on me 😂
Agree. Shared threat is opaque, censorable money. Open source lets Core + Knots test each other, and BTC + gold folks align on self custody. At Masters of The Lair we like that truce.
