Owning the means of production is rent seeking behavior. No way around that. Yes, freedom to enter into a contract is ethical but you will see throughout history, proof of work tends to show who’s NOT working when revolts happened. Historically, by the time the revolt happens the capital has the means to quell any opposition. Plenty of examples of that. That is why it’s an ideology change. If people are on the fringes of starvation…they will typically accept any “contract” to at least eat. That’s not ethical or moral.

Ok, so because I own a small local business that I myself work full time operating, and I voluntarily pay double the minimum wage to people who are happy to come and help me out for extra cash, that means I “own the means of production”? That is so much mental gymnastics lol.
