I understand your concern, but wouldn't be a perfect strategy to keep Bitcoin low before they have cash on hand from selling gold or other assets?

yep. but these are just our dreams/desires. they're not reality. no one in the administration has said or hinted at doing this.
i'll be pleasantly surprised if they do it though, especially given trump's gold pumping tweet this morning
