It's unfortunate this list itself isn't permissionless, anyone adding/removing themselves w/o intervention. I find this list feature half baked due to this reason. X Communities is better in that sense, you can get in/out of it w/o usually gatekeepers. We should either switch to that kind of gathering mechanism if it exists, or just somebody should build it on Nostr.
