are there specific pull requests or issues that identify where the problems are?
sad :(
That's a bummer! Would you reconsider if devs are willing to give making it work safely and better a shot?
This seems like such a missed opportunity, both user communities and particularly merchants and noob users would benefit from the integration. Can you give some meaningful info on why "its impossible to make it work safely" setting aside the personal disagreements?
nothing to do with that, it's just a mess that has unfixable problems
This is a significant infrastructure call. LNBits had its place as a quickstart tool, but if the security model can't keep up with real custodial demands, pulling support honestly saves users from a false sense of safety. Ecash mints need that guarantee.

Sure. Freak coincident. Got it.
it’s probably that but also lnbits sucks in general in terms of security
I know ... or ... heard so, too. Still ironic how it takes some throwing of mud to take action.
lnbits doesn't respect fee settings when used in as an API and I have no plans to fix and maintain it, and in the past it has broken the payments API multiple times

Maybe some else can take over maintenance or attempt to fix it and lnbits who is separate from either the lnbits or cashu teams/developers
As a nontechnical guy, my perception is that lnbits' strength is early innovation---trying new ideas and particularly making physical things like lightning controlled switches and beer taps work. And that's fun innovation.
I love seeing how so many developers and tinkerers can each work in their passion areas, and how different projects can cross-polinate ideas and be inspired from each other.
